We got a call from Austin Texas. The family had recently had their beloved Jack Russell Terrier, pass away. They were heartbroken. They had taken him to the vet to have him cremated. They entrusted him to their local vet and went home. Within a few days they were aware that Jerry's spirit was still very much in the home. At first they thought it was just their grief and sense of loss. But soon they knew that Jerry was trying to reach them. They could hear the familiar sound of him drinking at the water bowl. They him felt jump onto the bed. After finding that everyone in the family had been sensing this. There were poltergeist types of disruptions, noises and visualizations of Jerry throughout the house. When the family contacted us they did not know why this was happening. We were not sure we could help as we had never tried to work with an animal spirit but the minute I sat down and began to focus on Jerry, the tenacity of the Jack Russel came in and boy did he have a lot to say. First of all he was quite upset that he had not been buried in the backyard with the family cat. Second of all he had not been cremated and he wanted the family to look into what had happened to him. When I spoke with the family it was uncomfortable to approach this conversation with them. But I explained that Jerry was unhappy with the way he had been disposed of and wanted to be buried in the back yard. We decided to take photos of Jerry and objects he liked and create a ceremony for him in the backyard. The family began investigating and discovered that the vet had not cremated Jerry, but simply had the dog taken out to the city dump. For a while things were quiet. But then Jerry's activities began again. Sharon communicated with Jerry again who said that he could not rest because there were so many other animals that were also not properly taken care of or put to rest.
